Military Wedding Give-a-Way at Springmaid Beach 12-7-12

Coastal Wedding & Events, ceremony décor and wedding coordinationBrooke & Wayne were very happy that their dream wedding in Myrtle Beach, SC was a big success.  For me,  it started very early in the morning with the Chuppah being erected on the beach.  It was a little misty, but we actually finished several hours before the ceremony.  The guests started arriving around 2:30 PM and the ceremony started at 3 PM. After the wedding party entered, Brooke walked down the aisle to Shawn Snyder playing the violin to traditional wedding music.  Wayne met her half way and walked her to the officiant, Jeff Britton.  I provided the items for the Sand Ceremony which is done on the beach in lieu of the traditional Unity candle ceremony. Coverage of the entire event was done by TV 13, FOX, and several other stations.  The couple had professional photographer Scott Lee & staff, video by Bob Vox, chairs for the ceremony and table linen was provided by Event Works, personal flowers & centerpieces by Kings Florist.  After the ceremony, more pictures were taken on the beach and by the pier.

It was just starting to rain harder so the wedding party made a dash to the reception.

After Introductions, the couple did their First Dance, cut the cake which was made by Pawleys Island Bakery. Bella Hair did the bride and bridesmaids hair.  Dinner was prepared by the chef and staff at Springmaid Beach Resort.  DJ Wayne Cribb entertained as they danced the night away.  Everyone had a great time!!!  I would say this was a wedding to remember and the couple was thrilled with the way everything turned out.

Guitarist for Weddings

This Summer I have had several weddings that chose to have a guitarist for their ceremony and/or cocktail hour and reception music.  I’ve met several new guitarist that all did an outstanding job.

One in particular at a beach house,  had a guitarist that did the ceremony music and then played until 11 PM.  It was like your own personal concert because he was so good.  The guests danced and enjoyed just listening to him.  The couple was interested in having a casual, carefree type reception and just enjoy being oceanfront.  The house they selected was so big that you would get lost in it.  The reception was held underneath with string lights and candles.  The guitarist was on a part of the patio that was like his own stage and guests danced on the patio which had a small pool, as well.  On the lawn were corn hole games. It was perfect for their size group which was about 75 guests.  The caterer took care of the hors d’oeuvres at cocktail hour and meal.  It was all very good.  Another great thing about this house was the area had a built in bar by the small pool.

I’ve done quite a few more weddings this past summer at rented beach houses.  I can give you some rental agencies to contact if you are interested in this idea.

Military Wedding Give Away by Springmaid Resort Dec. 7, 2012

The winners of the Military Wedding that is being given away by Springmaid Resort is fast approaching.  This is an annual event.  The wedding is Dec. 7, 2012.  Brooke and Wayne are getting so excited.  The vendors donate their time & services to help this couple have an expense free wedding.  To qualify one has to be active in the Military.

My part in this event is to act as Wedding Coordinator for the ceremony.   I am supplying the Chuppah set up on the beach with chiffon and silk arrangements.  I made suggestions for the officiant & violinist who are donating their services.  Brooke & Wayne are expecting about 65 guests.  The reception will be held in the conference center at Springmaid Resort.
